As engineers, we find inspiration in the safest and sturdiest elements of nature, and that’s what guided us when developing our innovative protective technologies; from our unique design to the premium materials that were never used before in a convertible car seat.
As parents, we know what safety should feel like. It’s the certainty, pride and joy of seeing our little ones cradled in safety in the back seat. And it’s the freedom to focus on where you and your family are heading next.
Shy’s story
When his twins were born, Shy Mindel, babyark’s founder, found his newly purchased convertible car seat was very difficult to install.
As an accomplished aeronautical engineer who had created life-saving seats for helicopters and armoured vehicles, he thought that if it’s difficult for him, it must be really difficult for other parents.
This was the beginning of a long journey where he and his team would completely reimagine what a convertible car seat could be.
Reimagining safety
When we set out on our journey, we took nothing for granted and pulled no stops in creating a different standard of safety.
We looked everywhere for inspiration — from nature to performance racing cars, from aerospace engineering to protective technologies pioneered by the military, and then we proceeded to build a car seat that completely reimagined what safety could be.
Tested beyond belief
The babyark not only passed each and every test required by regulation, we designed over 200 additional ones to ensure it adhered to our own elevated standards of safety — at higher speeds, varying baby weights, and in multiple positions, some even with the seat intentionally installed incorrectly — everything to ensure your little one’s safety.
From performance to protection
The babyark was designed by legendary automobile designer, Frank Stephenson, former lead design at BMW, MINI, Ferrari, Maserati and McLaren. As someone who built his reputation for designing for performance and speed, he knew what it takes to bring that same level of performance to safety.
