babyark was founded on the very principle of “necessity is the mother of invention,” well, father of invention. When babyark CEO and founder Shy Mindel, an aeronautical engineer, had twins he felt like his car seat manual was written in hieroglyphics and impossible to install and, even more worrisome, he had no way to know if he did it correctly. Realizing how universal this experience was, he identified a gap in the market that he wanted to fill for the sake of his own children and the parents around him who echoed his frustration.
We’re excited to share that we have launched a new model of our convertible car seat, and we think you’re going to love it as much as we’ve loved conceiving it.
Why new, why now?
When we launch a new model, of course we’re breaking out the upgrades! The Smart seat has some tweaks that come directly from customer feedback, and from our desire to both listen and continuously drive evolution forward. We’ve kept the features that make babyark a comfort to both your baby and to your parental anxiety, but improved on a few along the way.
Taking Book Smarts to the Streets Roads
Sleeker than ever, the new Smart babyark convertible car seat cradles your baby in style and comfort. Its Smart Base connects to the easy-to-use app, and the sensors and LED lights help ensure easy and accurate installation. Our one-and-done base means that you can set it and forget it, even when you switch from rear to forward facing. But don’t worry, the smart connectivity means the one thing you can’t forget is your baby in the car, because even the busiest parent sometimes needs a reminder. Our app will let you know that your baby is still strapped in. Remembering if you left the stove on is still on you, though. There are limits to our abilities.
The Smart also features a belt tensioner, increased harness height (16.7 inches) , and shortened LATCH for a smaller footprint front-to-back in the vehicle.
The Smart comes in four colors: Eggshell White with either Moonlight or Glacier Ice fabric and Charcoal Grey with either Midnight Blue or Glacier Ice fabric.
