Our recommended installation
In order to optimize babyark’s unique energy-absorption SafeCoil ™ system, as well as unlock the full monitoring and notification features through the Smart Base and mobile app, we recommend installing the seat with all 3 features:

BioArk™ side impact protection system
babyark’s innovative side impact protection system is designed with an energy absorbing element that mitigates the impact, diverting forces to the structure of the seat and away from the child’s head.
Headrest and Harness Height
The adjustable headrest has 11 positions without the need for re-thread. Make sure to position the shoulder harness straps to properly fit your child: For rear-facing position: Harness straps at or just below the top of child’s shoulders. For forward-facing position: Harness straps at or just above the top of child’s shoulders.
Find the right angle
The adjustable recline position can be operated with one hand on each side of the seat, while the child is seated. Make sure the recline position is within the marked safe zone marked on the base.
The ins and outs of the babyark chest clip
The cushioned, quick-lock chest clip helps position the harness straps safely on the child’s shoulders, and also functions as a pre-crash positioner. While it is not required by regulation, it has become a common practice for many parents. Make sure the shoulder straps are tightened (use the pinch test), and the chest clip is at armpit level.
Additional Installations Methods
The following installation conforms to safety regulations, but not all SafeCoil ™ capabilities will be optimized. Furthermore, the Smart Base and mobile app won’t provide alerts and notifications such as the Forgotten Child Alert and visual confirmation that the seat has been properly installed. We suggest turning off the Smart Base and follow the instructions in the User Guides.
